Donna L. Orlando, 60, a longtime Red Hook resident passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.
Donna was born September 6,1957 in Arlington, VA, to the late Don T. and Eleanor (Romano) Hooton. Donna worked as a support specialist for the Ulster County BOCES Mid-Hudson Regional Information Center, where she forged many lasting relationships with her coworkers through a strong will and an ernest compassion. Donna was an active member at the United Methodist Church in Red Hook as a Choir alto, a Strawberry Festival whipped-cream chef, a Christmas wreath maker, and a familiar voice to the congregation. It was plain to see upon meeting her that she cared intensely about those close to her, and did whatever she could to support them.
