Obituary of Patricia Mangieri

Patricia Mangieri, 66, of Tivoli, NY, passed away on Thursday, July 25 th, 2019 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY, surrounded by loving family.

Born on June 17, 1953, in Sleepy Hollow, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie (Gerekova) Singer.

Patricia worked as a devoted Nurse for over 46 years. She loved her job and was like a second Mother to her co-workers. Pat was a beacon of light to her staff and patients. She would have everyone laughing from cracking jokes, talking in her different accents, and her classic happy birthday songs over the intercom. Pat was kind and thoughtful. She would laugh, pray, and cry with you during tough times.

Prior to her 15 years at U.S. Renal, Pat also worked for private duty cases and in nursing homes. She was also a cherished member of the North Tarrytown Ambulance Corp- Crew # 1. Patricia was truly one of a kind. She had such a big heart. She was a loving Mother,

Grandmother, Baggish, wife and friend. Pat loved life. She lived for her children and especially her grandchildren whom she loved so much.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Emily Mangieri (Michael) of Tivoli, NY; her sons, Francis Rosario Mangieri Jr. (Jeanine) of Chapel Hill, NC, and Daniel Mangieri of Golden, CO; her grandchildren, Anthony Gemmell, Samuel Chrystie, and Devin & Jackson Rudolph; her siblings, Mary Torres of Sleepy Hollow, NY, Anne Bakala of Sleepy Hollow, NY, and John Singer of Sleepy Hollow, NY; along with numerous extended family, colleagues and friends.

Patricia is predeceased by the loving father of her children, Francis (Big Frank) Rosario Mangieri and her brother, Donald Singer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Christopher's Church, Red Hook on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will be private.
