She loved teaching and through it was able to have a positive impact on the lives of so many. In addition to teaching, Lydia had many talents and many hobbies. In her free time, Lydia enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her family, especially at their summer camp on Lake George. She loved reading and always had a book nearby. She was an avid gardener and founded the Garden at Mill Road School – the first of its kind in the area. Besides gardening she enjoyed being active and tried to spend as much time as possible outdoors. She could often be found hiking, skiing, windsurfing, or kayaking.
