Obituary of Dolores A. Chiacchia

Dolores A. Chiacchia, 82, of Red Hook, NY and formerly of Brewster and Mount Kisco, NY, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY.

Born on August 4, 1938, in Mt. Kisco, NY, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah T. and Julia Irene (Smith) Herlihy. Dolores married Santino Chiacchia on November 17, 1956 at St. Francis Church in Mt. Kisco, NY, and he survives at home in Red Hook.

For many years, and until her retirement in 2001 Dolores worked as a Pediatric Nurse, employed by Mount Kisco Medical Group- Mt. Kisco, NY.

Dolores was a communicant of St. Christopher's Church in Red Hook, NY and formerly at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Brewster, NY.

In addition to her loving husband of 64 years, Dolores is survived by her children; William (Denise) Chiacchia of East Greenbush, NY, Jeremiah (Jerri Townsend) Chiacchia of Largo, FL, Julia (Kevin) Carroll of Red Hook, NY, Dolores (Tom) Ward of Pawling, NY, Daniel Chiacchia of New Milford, CT, and Dennis (Claire) Chiacchia of Holmes, NY; Zita Chiacchia of Bellaire, FL; her sisters, Margaret (Anthony) Farano of Croton on Hudson, NY, and Patricia (Frank) Pitrulle of The Villages, FL; nineteen loving grandchildren; two great grandchildren- and one great grandchild to arrive this summer; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A brother, Timothy Herlihy predeceased her.

Family & Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 8th, 2021 at 11 am at St. Christopher's Church, Red Hook, NY. Mass will be live streamed at http://vimeo.com/event/106052 .Father Patrick Buckley will officiate. Interment will be private.
