Obituary of Robert M. Feller

Robert M Feller Jr. went Home to be with His Lord and Savior on February 17, 2021. Born on February 28, 1951 to the late Robert M Feller Sr. and Blanche (Coons) Feller in Rhinebeck NY. Bob married Ellen Pitcher on March 3, 1972. Ellen survives at home in Red Hook. His Lord and his family were the love of his life. He adored his sons, John, Jason and Rob. He loved his daughters in law, Michelle, Deb and Kelly. He adored his grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Kevin, Brennan and Alden. He loved his furry friends through the years, most recently Daisy Lu. Bob gave his life to the Lord on Sunday February 23, 1986. Pastor John Koppenaal was instrumental in bringing Bob to Jesus. He was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Rhinebeck, NY and involved with the building of GBFC beginning in 2001, completed, and first service was in July 2002. He served as a Trustee of GBFC and was in charge of Building/Grounds. He loved his church family, his Pastor and Mrs. Frank Cirone! Bob was employed with the Town Highway Department in Red Hook as Deputy Superintendent, retiring in 2008. After his retirement, he was employed at Gander Mountain and eventually Arbor Ridge, Brookmeade Community in Rhinebeck. He loved the residents! Bob had a full life. He coached Red Hook Little League; spent many years bowling at 9G Lanes; was a member of the Red Hook Fire Company; he enjoyed hunting "back in the day" bagging a 10-point buck; he loved eagles, hummingbirds and blue birds! In the more recent years, he was widely known as a skilled and avid Bass fisherman. He never hesitated to help or mentor others on the sport. He fished competitively and was instrumental in the forming of the Hudson Valley Bass Anglers. He loved all his fishing buddies and the special camaraderie among them. Right now, I know he is walking in the Glory of Heaven with Art Dingman, also a believer, special friend and fisherman. He also enjoyed and was involved with Legacy Junior Bass, a program for youths to enjoy the sport of Bass fishing. In addition to his loving wife Ellen of 48 years, he is survived by his sons; John Feller of Red Hook, Jason (Debra) Feller of Tivoli, and Robert Feller III (Kelly) of Red Hook; his "always" daughter-in-law, Michelle Feller of Nevis; his siblings, Bonnie (Mark) Beechey of Red Hook and Bruce Feller of Round Top , NY; his grandchildren who he loved so very much and was so proud of, Sarah, Emily, Kevin, Brennan and Alden; his furry pal, Daisy Lu; along with extended family, church family, colleagues and fishing buddies.
