Robert Bathrick

Obituary of Robert R Bathrick

Robert “Bob” R Bathrick, 69, loving father, husband and a lifelong Red Hook area resident, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at his home.

Born on October 23rd, 1951, in Rhinebeck, NY, he was the son of Robert L. Bathrick of Red Hook and the late Gloria (Fallon) Bathrick.

Robert married Deborah Bloomer on July 22, 1972 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Barrytown, NY and she survives him at home.

Bob was known by many nicknames such as Buck, BooBoo, and Pinky just to name a few. Anyone who knew Bob, whether a friend, co-worker, relative, or only met him briefly, knew he was an incredible man. He was quirky, funny, stubborn, loving, and a jokester. Bob was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was and still is loved by many.

Robert most recently worked as a security guard for Bard College. Previously, he was a foreman for Red Hook Village Highway Department and in his early years was a milkman for Silver Lake Dairy.

In addition to his loving wife and father, he is survived by his three children, Melissa Freer of St. Louis, MO, Lisa (Joseph) Miller of Lacy, WA, and Gloria Bathrick of Red Hook, NY; his grandchildren, Trevor and Kaleb Wesolowski; his sister, Deborah Gueldner of Red Hook, NY; along with many extended family, friends, and colleagues.

He is predeceased by his brother, Michael Bathrick, and his beloved dog PeeWee.

Bob’s family would like to thank the special nurses, doctors, and medical staff that helped care for him in his final years. We would like to especially thank Dr Kroll, Dr Seeger and the ladies at Northern Dutchess Infusion Center.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
