Nancy Wunderlich

Obituary of Nancy Anne Wunderlich

Nancy A. Wunderlich, 77, of Port Ewen entered the arms of her Lord on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY while being surrounded by her children. Born on August 29, 1943, in Red Hook, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ethel Rabbett. Nancy was an avid NY Giants and Tiger Woods fan, loved doing puzzles, going for walks and above all being of service to others. She loved going to concerts, Broadway plays and any NY Giants game she could. She spent endless hours cheering on her beloved grandchildren at their swim meets and was a sucker for "As Seen on TV" products. All of which her family would report back were life-changing! She loved nothing more than spending her time loving and caring for others. Her immediate family, her siblings, her church, Trinity Episcopal Church where she also volunteered at their thrift store. Nancy's faith played an important role in her life and it never wavered. She had a special group from church that she met weekly with for breakfast. Nancy, with all her youthful and vibrant energy was still working part-time at Dutchess Overhead Doors in Poughkeepsie, NY. She would often say how grateful she was to still be working and have a place to go twice a week to be with people during the pandemic. Nancy leaves behind, her loving children, Brian Wunderlich and his wife, Serena, of Woodstock, NY, Julie Squires and her husband, John of Kingston, NY; her grandchildren, Devin and Helen Wunderlich; her siblings, Patricia Schultz, Timothy Rabbett, James Rabbett, Eileen Mitchell and her husband, Dave; her sister in laws, Shirley Rabbett and Mary Ellen Wunderlich; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Nancy is predeceased by her brother, Thomas Rabbett and her brother in law, Donald Schultz and sister in law Bonnie Rabbett.
