Obituary of Theodore Arthur Voetsch

Theodore Arthur "Arty" Voetsch, 90, of Tivoli, NY, passed away on Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 at his home. Born on February 27th, 1931, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Theodore Arthur and Mary (Clark) Voetsch. Arty married Lois Anne Hjorth on April 11, 1953 and she survives at home in Tivoli. He served in the United State Marine Corp during the Korean War from 1951-1952. Arty works for many years, and until his retirement, as an Engineer with New York Telephone in Mount Vernon, White Plains, and Poughkeepsie. He along with his wife, were communicant of St. Christopher's Church in Red Hook, NY. A "Gentleman Farmer", Arty enjoyed working on his property and his tractors. In addition to his loving wife of 68 years, he is survived by his children, Arthur Lawrence Voetsch of North Carolina, Thomas Voetsch of Kingston, NY, Mary Voetsch of LaGrange, NY, and Nancy Voetsch of Tivoli, NY; his 14 grandchildren; his six great grandchildren; along with extended family and friends. A daughter, Patricia Racicot, and a son, David Voetsch predeceased him. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on May 3, 2021 at St. Christopher's Church, Red Hook, NY. Father Patrick Buckley will officiate. Burial with Military honors will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook. Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY.
