Obituary of Beverly J Benkart

Beverly J Benkart-Pole, 61, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 30th, 2021 at the HealthAlliance- Broadway Campus in Kingston, NY. Born on July 11, 1959, in Rhinebeck, NY, she was the daughter of the late David F and Patricia R (O'Malley) Benkart, Sr. Beverly graduated from Red Hook High School in 1978. She received the degree of Associate in Arts at SUNY Ulster class of 1980 and the degree of Associate in Applied Science at SUNY Ulster class of 2005. For many years, Beverly worked as an Activities Assistant at Hudson Valley Rehabilitation & Extended Care Center based in Highland, NY. Beverly enjoyed making cards and doing computer artwork. She loved cats, including her most recent cat Baby Girl Billie. She loved playing the guitar and singing. Her audiences over the years included residents in nursing homes in the area. She most recently enjoyed playing the guitar over zoom with her Gateway friends. She also loved to dance. She is survived by her loving siblings, James (Mary) Benkart of Red Hook, NY, Marilyn Benkart of Kingston, NY, and David F. Benkart, Jr of MA; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family, colleagues, and friends. Her sister, Pamela Benkart Ranger predeceased her. Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Thursday, June 10th, 2021 from 4 to 6 pm. Memorial Service will be held at 6 pm. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made in Beverly's memory to the Ulster County SPCA-20 Wiedy Rd, Kingston NY, 12401. Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY.
